Brandi's 5 Anticipated Albums of 2019

January 2, 2019

Nik Rivers

Since you've already read enough lists of 2018, let's look ahead to what will be released in 2019!  Here are 5 albums that I am most looking forward to!

5.  Alice Merton - Mint:  While we got to hear a sneak peak of new music from Alice Meton at #TKBC, I can't wait for her debut album to finally drop and the best part is we don't have to wait too long.  Mint will be released January 18th!

4.  Cage The Elephant: So far all we know is that the next record is "Done. Mixed. Mastered."  The band posted on Instagram that they would be enjoying the holidays before releasing any new music.  And from the pictures they've been posting we will be hearing some keyboards and maybe a little synth on the new record.

3.  Greta Van Fleet:  Thankfully 2018 brought us the band's first full length album  Anthem of the Peaceful Army.  And lucky for us, bassist Sam Kiszka promises that we will get more new music in 2019.  In fact they already had several tracks written for their next work right after they finished Anthem of the Peaceful Army.

2.  The Raconteurs: We only had to wait over 10 long years for The Raconteurs to finally return with two killer singles 'Sunday Driver' and 'Now That You're Gone.'  (It was well worth the wait, I've been playing both on repeat.)  While there is no set release date for a new album the song preview they gave us, has me wanting to hear more and hopefully soon!

1.  Barns Courtney:  Courtney jokingly told back in December that his next album is made up of 600 songs, all singles. While his next album might not exactly be 600 songs, we do know that he has been in the studio working on new music for quite some time and has also posted on Instagram that he shot his next music video.  We're still waiting on an album title and release date for what Courntey refers to as his "sensational new album".
